Josh Cannell, CA, was appointed as Director at Westcourt Family Business Accountants since July 2024, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Josh joined the firm in June 2020, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from his previous role at a specialized tax advisory practice in West Perth.

Throughout his tenure at Westcourt, Josh has distinguished himself through his exceptional client relationship skills, leadership style and solution-oriented approach.

Josh is motivated to ensure families not only comply with tax laws but also optimize their overall asset & tax position, ultimately preserving and growing their wealth across generations.

One client example Josh delivered on included identifying and preparing specialised Capital Gains Tax advice for a business client resulting in a large wealth saving (over $1m).

Apart from Josh’s professional accomplishments, he has demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills in Cricket. In 2011, he represented Western Australia in the state schoolboys cricket team, contributing to their gold medal victory. Josh also continues to maintain his connection with Cricket, captaining his local community club team for their highest grade (Ellenbrook Rangers).
